DETAILS

The APEX 30S mechanized controller integrates seamlessly with the Power Wave S500 power source providing a central connection point for HELIX M series weld heads and APEX 3 series pendants. The need for auxiliary components has been minimized, incorporating a gas solenoid and flow sensor within the controller. This has reduced cable clutter and the overall footprint of the configured system. The APEX 30S is not limited to orbital welding. When combined with a HELIX M85 or M45 weld head and flat track the system can be used for welding plate or other types of structural beams. By keeping the weld head in a fixed position and rotating the pipe, the system can easily be adapted for welding in a 1G position using the weld head to precisely place and control the arc for high quality welds.
